How StockChecker handles your data.
StockChecker helps food businesses scan invoices, cost recipes, count stock, and understand food, drink, packaging, and supplies costs. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to access, correct, or delete it.
This Privacy Policy applies to the StockChecker mobile app, web app, website, support channels, trials, subscriptions, and related services.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to StockChecker, including the StockChecker mobile app, related web app, website, support channels, and subscription services.
We use your information to provide the product you sign up for: account access, invoice scanning, recipe costing, stock counts, reports, support, and subscription management. We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.
StockChecker is intended for businesses and the people who run or work in those businesses. It is not intended for children.
2. Data We Collect
Bottle measurement data: if StockChecker uses anonymized bottle-weight information to improve barcode-based bar counting, the shared record is limited to product measurement data such as barcode, container size, empty weight, full weight, density estimate, and submission count. It is not used to identify your venue or account.
3. How We Use Data
- To create and secure your account, authenticate users, manage teams, and provide support.
- To scan invoices, extract line items, help match supplier products, and update approved prices.
- To turn typed, spoken, or scanned recipes into structured ingredients that you can review, edit, price, and save.
- To calculate recipe costs, food cost, pour cost, supplies and packaging cost, stock values, and related reports.
- To process subscriptions, trials, invoices, receipts, billing support, refunds, and plan changes.
- To prevent abuse, troubleshoot bugs, monitor security, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
- To send service messages such as account, trial, support, security, billing, and product-operation emails. Marketing or nurture emails should include any consent and unsubscribe controls required by law.
4. Service Providers and Sharing
We use service providers to run StockChecker. They may process data only to provide services to us, protect the service, meet legal duties, or perform work we authorize.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate misuse, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
5. Retention and Deletion
We keep account and business data while your account is active, while we need it to provide the service, or while we have a legitimate business, security, tax, accounting, dispute, or legal reason to keep it.
If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data linked to your StockChecker account unless we need to keep limited records for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, tax, backup, or dispute reasons.
If deletion takes time, we will tell you the expected timeframe and confirm once the request has been completed.
To request deletion from the web, use the steps on Account & Data Deletion or email support@stockchecker.ai.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You can contact us to make a request.
You can also control camera and microphone permissions in your device settings. If you turn off a permission, the related StockChecker feature may stop working until you turn it back on.
Marketing emails, if used, should include an unsubscribe option. Service emails, such as security, billing, account, or support messages, may still be sent where needed to run the service.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and business data, including authenticated access, database access controls, encryption in transit, provider security controls, and restricted operational access.
No online service can guarantee perfect security. Please use a strong password, protect your device, and contact us promptly if you believe your account or business data has been accessed without permission.
8. Children, Regions, and Changes
StockChecker is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
StockChecker may be used by businesses in multiple regions. Privacy laws differ by location, and this policy will be updated as the product, target markets, and legal obligations become clearer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date at the top will show when the page last changed.
