1. Agreement
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and the developer of StockChecker. They apply when you access or use the StockChecker mobile app, web app, website, support channels, trials, paid subscriptions, or related services.
If you use StockChecker for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms for that business. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use StockChecker.
The StockChecker Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and delete information.
2. Accounts and Teams
You need an account to use most StockChecker features. You are responsible for the accuracy of account information, for keeping login details secure, and for all activity under your account or team unless caused by our breach of these Terms.
Team owners and administrators are responsible for inviting the right people, assigning the right roles, removing access when staff leave, and making sure users follow these Terms.
You must contact us promptly if you believe an account, device, or team member access has been compromised.
3. What StockChecker Provides
StockChecker is a business tool for independent food and beverage operators. It helps you scan supplier invoices, review price updates, cost recipes, count stock, track food, drink, packaging, and supplies costs, and see reports or alerts about likely cost issues.
StockChecker is a decision-support tool. It does not replace your own judgement, bookkeeping, accounting, tax, legal, food-safety, payroll, inventory, or point-of-sale systems. You remain responsible for checking the numbers and making business decisions.
We may change, improve, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of the service over time. If a change materially affects paid access, we will try to give reasonable notice where practical.
4. AI, OCR, and User Review
StockChecker may use OCR and AI services to process invoice images, spoken recipes, scanned recipes, typed recipes, product names, quantities, units, and ingredient matches.
AI and OCR outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or uncertain. Supplier line items may be misread, recipe quantities may be interpreted incorrectly, and ingredient matches may need correction. You must review and approve outputs before relying on them.
StockChecker is designed to show scanned invoices, extracted fields, proposed matches, prices, recipe ingredients, and costing results for review. You are responsible for correcting mistakes before saving, using, or sharing results.
No automatic business advice: food-cost targets, suggested prices, margin alerts, and reports are informational. You decide whether to change recipes, suppliers, prices, portions, menus, or operations.
5. Trials, Plans, Billing, and Cancellation
StockChecker may offer a 14-day free trial and paid plans such as Solo, Pro, Team, and Growth. The plan, features, limits, price, billing period, trial details, taxes, and renewal terms will be shown at sign-up, checkout, in the app, or in the relevant app-store purchase flow.
If billing is handled by Stripe, Stripe processes payment details and subscription status. If billing is handled by Apple or Google, your purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund rights may be managed through the relevant app store account.
You can cancel a subscription using the billing-management path provided in StockChecker, Stripe, Apple, Google, or the platform through which you subscribed. Cancellation normally stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund amounts already paid unless required by law or the platform's rules.
We may change plan prices or features. Changes will apply according to the notice and renewal rules shown in the service, checkout, app store, or applicable law.
6. Your Business Content
You keep ownership of the business data and content you upload, enter, scan, speak, or generate through StockChecker, including supplier invoices, recipes, product libraries, stock counts, reports, team information, and venue data.
You give us permission to host, process, copy, transmit, display, analyze, and otherwise use your business content only as needed to provide, secure, support, improve, and operate StockChecker and as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload invoices, product data, recipe information, images, audio, and other content into StockChecker.
7. Acceptable Use
You must not misuse StockChecker. For example, you must not:
- break the law or violate another person's rights;
- upload harmful code, malware, or content designed to disrupt the service;
- attempt to access another account, venue, team, database, system, or provider service without permission;
- reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe, or interfere with StockChecker except where lawfully permitted;
- use AI, OCR, camera, microphone, barcode, or support features in a way that abuses usage limits or increases costs unfairly;
- submit confidential, regulated, or sensitive data that StockChecker is not designed to process unless we have agreed in writing.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account is unsafe, abusive, unlawful, unpaid, or in serious breach of these Terms.
8. Availability, Support, and Changes
We aim to keep StockChecker reliable, but the service may be unavailable or degraded because of maintenance, internet issues, device issues, third-party providers, app-store review, outages, security events, or other reasons outside our control.
Support is available at support@stockchecker.ai. We may prioritize security, billing, account access, and data-loss issues over general feature requests.
9. Disclaimers and Limits of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, StockChecker is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that every AI, OCR, cost, margin, stock, or report output will be accurate.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer, privacy, app-store, or other laws. Where limits are allowed, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for StockChecker in the 12 months before the claim or the minimum amount required by law, whichever is greater.
We are not responsible for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, supplier disputes, pricing decisions, menu decisions, indirect losses, or consequential losses except where the law does not allow that limitation.
10. Ending Your Account
You may stop using StockChecker at any time. You can request account and data deletion through the Account & Data Deletion page or by emailing support@stockchecker.ai.
Deleting a StockChecker account may not cancel an active Apple, Google, or Stripe subscription by itself. If you subscribed through a third-party billing provider, you should also cancel through that provider's subscription-management tools.
We may keep limited records where needed for legal, billing, tax, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or dispute reasons, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
11. Store and Platform Terms
If you downloaded StockChecker through Apple or Google, the relevant app-store terms may also apply to installation, billing, refunds, subscriptions, and platform use.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under app-store rules, consumer laws, privacy laws, or other laws that cannot be waived by contract.
